Information Security Engagement Specialist

The Information Security Engagement Specialist is a customer facing role that is both critical and highly visible, demanding an energetic individual who can balance the dynamics of a high-paced sales team with the goal of getting our customers the information and assistance required to instill confidence in Brainshark’s security and risk management programs. 

While the Engagement Specialist’s first priority will always be to support our customers and the sales team, (s)he will also be responsible for managing various other processes as specified in the requirements section.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain understanding of Brainshark security and compliance programs and how they relate to customer needs.
  • Responding to requests for security information from customers and staff.
  • Communicated with customers as necessary on security and compliance related topics.
  • Manage vendor security review process.
  • Manage security training program.
  • Manage security schedule for audits, assessments, testing, etc.
  • Manage Brainshark compliance documentation.
  • Create periodic tracking and status reports.
  • Assist with Brainshark audits and assessments.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Ability to work across departments with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to set priorities and respond to changing priorities from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow through, meet deadlines, anticipate requirements, and build relationships.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Experience with Office, Salesforce, Jira, and ZenDesk.
  • Strong desire for a career in the GRC and security field.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, technological systems and/or controls.
  • BA, BS, or equivalent in a business or technical field of study, or equivalent work experience.

 PLUSES:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Security certifications:  CISSP, CISA, SSCP, Security+, etc.
  • Knowledge of the Cloud Security Alliance STAR, ISO27001, Privacy Shield, or GDPR.
  • Experience with SaaS applications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, VeraCode, Nessus, Azure Security Center or other such tools.
