Demand Generation Marketing Specialist

Brainshark’s Demand Generation Specialist will play an integral role in orchestrating and executing marketing programs and campaigns. Reporting to Sr. Manager, Demand Generation & Web, this individual is responsible for creating innovative campaigns and identifying opportunities to not only acquire new leads but also nurture existing leads with personalized, relevant messaging. Leveraging Marketo and paid marketing channels, this individual will work to drive sales qualified leads through the demand generation funnel with a focus on optimizing and improving campaigns based on results. This role works cross functionally with other members of the marketing team including content, marketing operations and creative, sales, and business development teams. This is a full-time position based in our corporate headquarters in Waltham, MA with convenient access to the Commuter Rail.


  • Execute multi-channel marketing programs to support the demand generation needs of both our mid-market and enterprise sales team.
  • Work closely with marketing operations and the ADR team to define the lead management process from lead capture to follow-up and work collaboratively with the sales team to obtain feedback on quality of AQLs generated from marketing campaigns
  • Partner closely with content marketing and graphic design team to ensure proper messaging, engaging visuals, timing, and execution of one-off and ongoing campaigns are met
  • Design and implement email nurture tracks to nurture leads through the funnel.
  • Conduct A/B tests to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of all marketing and advertising channels
  • Make tactical adjustments to campaigns based on results and integrate learning in overall strategy.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of demand generation trends, best practices, and technologies.


  • BA/BS with concentration in Business, Marketing, or related discipline
  • 2-4 years’ of B2B demand generation experience 
  • Solid knowledge of various paid marketing channels and technologies, including paid search (Google AdWords), retargeting, social network advertising, and content distribution and placement networks.
  • Experience with marketing automation systems such as Eloqua, Marketo, or similar
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on marketing metrics and continuous learning/improvement
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills, including: managing multiple projects, detailed scheduling, determination of critical path, and attentiveness to dependencies
  • High personal and professional integrity
